With 69% of global consumers believing increased wealth or income is important in creating a feeling of wellbeing or wellness there is a growing trend for craft beers and spirits with tailored, premium packaging. (Source: GlobalData)
Multi-Color’s specialists work closely with your brand team to explore a variety of high-end embellishments, like this rare edition Guinness that required the premium touch. Paying tribute to the original Old Vat House built in 1798, Guinness introduced the 1798 Double Extra Stout. The release is a specially-packaged, corked and caged 1 pint bottle, made for sharing.
- The unique, matt black bottle required a specific, pressure sensitive adhesive for high quality application onto the coated bottle.
- An uncoated black paper substrate was chosen in order to achieve the no label look.
- The combination of multiple flexo whites, gloss screen tactile varnish, rotary emboss and metallic hot foil creates many different discovery elements without detracting from the original branding.
- The pressure sensitive label with a combination of gloss and foil embellishments adds an elegant finishing touch to the high quality pack.
Stephen Stafford, Brand Technical Innovation of Diageo comments: “We found MCC highly enthusiastic and engaged with us on this special Guinness project. It felt like MCC worked hard to meet ours and our agency’s high demands, they really gave it 110% to become a key member of the project team. Particular thanks to MCC for really pulling out the stops for us on timeline and delivering such a complex label design at perfect quality and in ultra-quick time.”
